Success By 6® Northwest is one of six Success By 6 initiatives in the north region. Our vision is of communities where all children in the northwest are healthy, safe and secure, socially engaged and responsible, and successful learners. Success By 6® Northwest has a geographic mandate stretching from Kitimat on the west to Houston on the east and north to the BC/Yukon border.

Success By 6® Northwest is funded by the ECDPP to:

  • Provide research, organizational and funding support to communities in establishing plans, priorities and projects to support healthy early development.
  • Work with community and regional partners across the northwest to raise public awareness about the importance of the first six years of life.
Programs: 

Success By 6® Northwest provides funding to support Early Childhood Development coordination in Houston, the Upper Skeena and Stikine regions and project support in Atlin, Stewart, Kitimat, Kitamaat Village, the Nass Valley, Kitsumkalum and Kitselas. The initiaitve works with Aboriginal communities in the northwest to enhance the lives of young Aboriginal children and their families within communities and within the broader regional network supporting families with young children.
